In the everyday experiences of life, you can encounter the Lord in surprising ways, if your heart is open to listen and obey Him. In Luke 24:16, Jesus prevented the disciples on the road to Emmaus from recognizing Him, so He could hear their hearts. There are times when He relates to us in the same way. Just as He revealed Himself to them in a moment of time, He can do the same to us.
Those moments of revelation come in many ways. Some are dramatic and some are apparently mundane, but are nonetheless filled with the Holy Spirit. As you practice sharpening your “spiritual senses” through obedience to the indwelling Holy Spirit, your levels of sensitivity to God will increase. You will find yourself having authentic “moments” with God that can truly change your life.
