The Aaronic Blessing, also known in Jewish tradition as the “Priestly Blessing” (Birkat Kohanim), is the way that God put “His Name” upon His people. There is great power in this small prayer as the words God uses to “Bless” us reveals His Heart toward us. He desires to put “His Name” upon us. He desires to make “His Face shine upon us,” to be “Gracious to us” and to give us “His Peace.”
As you study the Scriptures, consider what it means to have God’s name upon your life. Meditate on the power of the Name of Jesus, who is Yahweh (יהוה) in the flesh. Think about what it means for God to be gracious to you and to give you His peace.
We have included this Prayer of Blessing on our website because we want you to listen and immerse yourself in all the Blessings that this Divine Declaration speaks into every aspect of your life!
There are two renditions of the Aaronic Blessing here. One is by Ted Pearce, one of my favorite worship leaders, and the other is the traditional way the Blessing is chanted in the Synagogue.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying,
‘Thus you shall bless the sons of Israel. You shall say to them:
The Lord bless you, and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance on you and give you peace.’
So they shall put my name on the sons of Israel, and I will bless them.”
