When asked about the end of the age, the first thing Jesus did was warn us against the dangers of deception (Matt. 24:4). The closer we move to His return, the more intense the deception is becoming (Matt. 24:24). With this warning in mind, we must learn how to protect ourselves against deception. If you think that you cannot be deceived, you already are. With humility of heart and an ever increasing intimacy with God and His heart and purposes, we must learn how to “put on the armor of light” (Rom. 13:12) to withstand all of the deceptive teaching and practices of the enemy.
